Concrete Wall Repair & Reconstruction

ARC has extensive experience with exterior and interior concrete wall repair and reconstruction. Depending on the condition of the existing structure, repairs may range from localized patching to substantial reconstruction of deteriorated wall sections.

Our concrete wall restoration work can include removal of damaged concrete, repair or replacement around reinforcing steel, installation of bonding agents and high-compressive-strength repair materials, reconstruction with rebar, ornamental concrete repair, sealing, and waterproofing.

Where cracks require structural bonding, epoxy injection may also be used to create a strong, permanent bond within the existing concrete.

Concrete Spall Repair

Concrete spalling occurs when portions of the concrete surface crack, break, or separate from the underlying structure. Moisture intrusion and corrosion of embedded reinforcing steel are common contributors and can cause deterioration to progressively worsen if the underlying condition is not addressed.

ARC performs concrete spall repair on walls, ceilings, floors, and other concrete components. Deteriorated and unsound material is removed and the repair area is thoroughly prepared. Bonding agents and high-strength concrete patching compounds are then installed as required to rebuild the damaged area and restore the original profile of the concrete.

Repairs can range from a few inches to several feet. Finished areas are shaped and smoothed to integrate with the surrounding concrete, with efforts made to match the appearance and color of the existing surface as closely as practical.

Concrete Crack Repair & Epoxy Injection

Cracks in concrete can develop from structural movement, shrinkage, impact, water penetration, or deterioration of the surrounding material. The appropriate repair depends on the location, condition, and cause of the cracking.

For suitable applications, ARC uses epoxy injection for concrete crack repair. Epoxy penetrates the crack and bonds with the existing concrete, creating a durable repair that restores continuity within the affected area.

Crack repair may also be incorporated into a larger waterproofing or concrete restoration project when water intrusion has contributed to the deterioration.

Concrete Ceiling & Floor Repair

Concrete deterioration is not limited to exterior walls. ARC provides concrete ceiling and concrete floor repair for residential, multi-family, commercial, and other properties throughout the Bay Area.

Damaged ceiling areas can be cleaned and prepared before bonding agents and concrete repair compounds are applied and formed to restore the original surface. Floor restoration can include repair of deteriorated concrete as well as the installation or restoration of concrete and epoxy flooring systems.

Concrete Waterproofing & Protection

Successful concrete restoration often requires addressing why the concrete deteriorated in the first place. Where moisture intrusion is involved, repairing the visible damage without addressing the water source can leave the structure vulnerable to recurring problems.

As both a restoration contractor and waterproofing specialist, ARC can incorporate appropriate concrete waterproofing, sealing, coatings, crack repair, and related building-envelope repairs into the restoration process.
